These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri and the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. However, nothing in these Terms waives your rights under applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction where such waivers are prohibited.

Jurisdiction and Venue

You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the site shall be brought exclusively in the state courts located in Christian County, Missouri, or the federal courts for the Western District of Missouri. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection to venue.

Informal Resolution

Before filing any legal action, you agree to first contact us at legal@peoplebrief.net to attempt informal resolution. We will work in good faith to resolve disputes amicably for at least 30 days before either party may initiate formal proceedings.

Small Claims Court

Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court in a proper venue as an alternative to formal litigation.

Class Action Waiver

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. If this class action waiver is found to be unenforceable, the entirety of this arbitration/dispute resolution provision shall be null and void.

Limitation Period

You agree that any claim or cause of action arising out of these Terms or use of the site must be filed within two (2) years after the claim arose, or be forever barred, except where applicable law requires a longer period.

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under California consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Legal Remedies Act (CLRA). Nothing in these Terms waives your rights under California law where such waivers are prohibited.

No Third-Party Beneficiaries

These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights.

Survival
