Position Summary

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care, coordinates treatment plans, and supports overall clinical operations in accordance with state nursing regulations. This role assesses patient needs, administers medications, monitors progress, and ensures high quality, compassionate care. The RN collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to promote positive health outcomes and a safe patient experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in line with physician orders and established protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and escalate concerns as needed.
• Develop, update, and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Follow infection prevention procedures and maintain safe clinical environments.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams during rounds and care conferences.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Adhere to organizational policies, state nursing practice acts, and all applicable regulations.

Education and Experience

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Clinical experience in a hospital, clinic, or long term care setting preferred.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS or PALS may be required depending on department.

Working Conditions
